electronic bubbles - message in a bottle...
international open design competition
There are different ways to express the content of an architecture. The question here was to find the right limit between advertising and communication. A bar has to be attractive, special, different, welcoming, specific, identifiable.
What if architecture communicates through its external skin?
The Beck's Bar takes the bottle as a main construction element. Used as the part of a gigantic screen, the bottle-pixel contains a LED-lighting that contributes to animate the bar both outside and inside. Disco, text messaging, space invaders, lighting effects, beck's promotion are made possible through that invention.
