project material research at the digital era
as part of the research done on an innovative material during their diploma, which consists of the assembly of plastic tubes by autogenous welding, the project was about making a scale application of it. the project was located in the ecole speciale d'architecture hall, on non-lanscaped bleachers. the installation created a functional topography where you could sit, lie, walk, hide, etc. as a second skin. the material was able to demonstrate its mechanical, functional and aesthetic qualities to the students and offer an ephemeral atmosphere to the school. while most of the installation was made by an artisanal process, two pieces of 1 sq meter each were melted by an industrial robot.
